The second day of the ongoing national conference Akhil Bhartiya Karyakarta Sammelan, Samvet – 2024 here, achieved a significant milestone in promoting the cause of the tribal community. A book titled “Rani Durgavati – Nari Shakti ki Anoothi Misaal” around the life and sacrifice of the brave queen and scion of the famous Chandela dynasty of Mahoba, and queen of the Gond kingdom of Garha-Katanga was unveiled.
Published by renowned publishing house Prabhat Prakashan, the book was launched during the conference of the ongoing event. Authored by Dr. Rekha Nagar and Dr. Madan Singh Waskel, the book narrates at length her life detailing her apt administrative skills and her courageously stand against the might of the Mughal Empire. Coincidentally, on the coming 5th October the nation is commemorating the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati.
This book was one of the 14 books written on various freedom fighters from tribal communities across the country that were unveiled during this national level conference. Some of these included Janjati ki Shrishti Katha authored by Dr. Raj Kishore Hansda and Genoside of Indigenous People by Vivekanand Nartam from Shyam Lal College of Delhi University. A large number of attendees were seen buying books at the specially created ‘Book Stall’.
Atul Jog, All India Organizing Secretary, ABVKA called upon to celebrate the 500th birth Anniversary of Rani Durgavati on 5th October and the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on Janjatiye Gaurav Diwas on 15th November in a big way across the country.
RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji, is also scheduled to attend the grand Pooja Paddhati Pandals-a key highlight of the Sammelan-on the evening of Saturday, September 21. Various tribal societies from across Bharat will showcase their traditional worship practices in a unique cultural display. Nearly 80 tribes will perform their distinct rituals in separate pandals (canopies). These rituals range from the worship of deities in visible forms (Saakar) to the veneration of the formless (Niraakar), all deeply rooted in Bharat’s ancient spiritual connection with nature.
On Saturday, the mega national gathering, Akhil Bhartiya Karyakarta Sammelan, Samvet – 2024, entered its second day in Samalkha, 2,000 representatives from diverse tribal and other communities participating in it.
The Sammelan has become a platform to celebrate Bharat’s diverse cultural heritage while promoting unity and solidarity among its people.
The three-day conference, Samvet – 2024, commenced on Friday with an inaugural session led by the esteemed Sarv-Kathakar from Gujarat, Ramesh Bhai Ojha, renowned for his powerful spiritual discourses. For many of the representatives and attendees, this experience offers a rare opportunity to witness the cultural richness of India’s tribal societies, which are often isolated from mainstream urban life.
