When the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) summoned Chief Secretary Veera Rana to Delhi in connection with the case of teaching Islam to Hindu children in madrasas of Madhya Pradesh, then about one and a half months later on Tuesday, based on the report of the District Education Officer in Sheopur, the Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board cancelled the recognition of 56 madrasas. Government aid was being taken in the name of Hindu children in these madrasas.
School Education Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh has also given instructions to expedite the physical verification of madrasas operating in all districts of the state. In the investigation conducted by the Sheopur District Education Officer, it was revealed that government aid was being taken in the name of such Hindu students in madrasas who have completed their education or are working.
