Attacks on Hindus continue in Bangladesh; Ganesh idol damaged by Islamic fundamentalists
New Delhi.
Islamic radicals attacked and damaged Ganesh idol kept for Hindus at Kattali in Chittagong, Bangladesh. There has been a string of attacks on Hindu temples in Bangladesh in the last several days. Bangladesh Hindus said that there has been no end to violence against Hindus. Local madrasas and mosques are spewing venom against Hindus.
Meanwhile, a group of Muslim radicals attack and desecrate Ganesh murti on Ashraf Ali Road in Patharghata, Chittagong. When local Hindus resisted the move, Islamist goons pelted stones and attacked them with sharp weapons.
The police arrested Bangladeshi Hindu leader Jumon Das for protesting against placing of a mosque’s donation box on the temple gate. This is the second time that Das has been arrested. He was again arrested under the Digital Security Act for putting up a post on Facebook. The police said Das’s post would trigger communal tension. However, the donation box put up by the Islamic radicals has not been removed yet.
On August 22, Narendranath Munda, a tribal Hindu, was killed when a group of Islamic radicals mounted an attack at Shyamnagar in Satkhira. According to the Voice of Bangladeshi Hindus, “The mainstream media of Bangladesh are silent on this issue. If this news is published, the image of the country will be tarnished.”
Islamic onslaught to wipe out Hindu community has been going on without any hindrance. Recently, it has come to light that in a school in Dhaka, Hindu students are forcefully taught the Quran and medieval Islamic treatises that spew venom on Hindus and encouraged to adopt the violent cult of Islam.
