Pune. The Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak (coordination meeting) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has started in Pune and exhibitions on three different topics have been set up at the meeting venue. RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat Ji and other dignitaries from across the country saw the exhibitions.
This year marks the 350th anniversary of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and an exhibition showcasing the life story of Shivaji Maharaj has been set up. It also has a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj sitting on the throne. He has a royal mace in one hand and a sword in the other.
Some selected episodes from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life, descriptions of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by historian Vijayrao Deshmukh, V.C. Bendre, etc., extracts from the Shivaji-era letters, verses of poet Bhushan and powadas (ballads) on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, naval fleet built by Maharaj, translation of letters written by him as well as some examples of forts in the Hindavi Swarajya, descriptions from ‘Shivbharat’, ‘Agyapatra’ (royal decrees) by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj have been at display in the exhibition. ‘Bhakti Shakti Sangam’, a sculpture which evokes the history of the meeting of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj, has also been displayed in this exhibition.
Another exhibition has been organised by Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram on the theme ‘Contribution of Tribal Heroes in The Freedom Struggle’.
An exhibition on ‘Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan’ launched by various organizations has been put up at the meeting venue. The aim of this campaign is to create a self-reliant Bharat free of unemployment, poverty and thriving with abundance. Under this campaign, 30 organizations working in the economic, social and educational fields are participating and information about their ongoing work across the country has been presented through this exhibition.
