
Bharat Ko Jaano festival begins in Tripura

Guwahati: Northeast zone cultural centre, Dimapur in collaboration with Tripura information & cultural affairs department has organised Bharat Ko Jaano, a three-day chain Yatra festival in different locations of the Bangladesh bordering State. The festival with the theme of national cultural exchange program was launched on Monday at Rajashri Kala Kshetra in Udaipur locality.
Folk artistes from the eastern Indian localities start showcasing their folk dance & musical performance in rural Tripura. They will also perform in Jirania and Aagrtala. The event is organised to create awareness about the rich cultural diversity of India and promote national integration through culture.
The performers represent Arunachal Pradesh (Juju Jaja dance), Assam (Bihu), -Odisha (Ghudka dance), Jharkhand (Seraikella dance), Manipur (Pung & Dhol and stick dance), Tripura (Hojagiri, Sangrain Mog, patriotic dances). The closing ceremony will be held at west Ananda Nagar in Agartala.
