
Criminal Case Accused Tipped to Get Kerala CM’s Seva Medal
A criminal case accused has found place in the list for the Kerala Chief Minister’s Seva Meal. It is reported that, Kannadasan. V, a Fire&Rescue Officer, is in the list of the awardees of the ‘Chief Minister’s Seva Medal’. It is reported that he is a criminal case accused. He works under Chittoor Fire Station, Palakkad district. He is accused in a criminal case (no: 155/2023) registered in Kuzhalmandam Police Station, Palakkad. And, now, he is included in the list for the Fire Fighter’s Seva Medal.
Reports suggest that he is the first accused in a case for insulting his own colleague by calling his caste name. Himself and his team are also alleged to have attacked the same colleague. Still, he finds place in the Seva Medal list.
It is to be remembered that criminal case accused are not entitled to receive medals under these categories. The past of the candidate should be checked properly. Now, Kannadasan’s name in the list is considered as the home ministry’s lapse. This is extremely significant as CM’s Seva Medal is a prestigious recognition.
