Moirang, 5 September: As part of the ongoing relief and humanitarian the Rashtriya Swayamsevak
Sangh (RSS) Manipur Pranta and Seva Bharati Manipur has jointly distributed educational kit to
students, who are staying at Relief Camp opened at Takmu Water Sports Complex, Laisoi under
Moirang Sub-division on Tuesday.
The educational kits consisting of a bag, uniform and a pair of shoes were distributed to 66 students
of class I-XII in a simple function held at the relief camp. The educational kits were sponsored by
Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Mandal, Pune.
It may be recalled that Karyakartas of RSS Manipur Pranta (unit) and other like-minded organization
has been conducting free coaching classes at various relief centres opened in Bishnupur including
the one at Takmu Water Sports Complex.
Being a voluntary, social and humanitarian organization, RSS Karyakartas have been actively
engaging in various relief works since the outbreak of the ongoing ethnic conflict.
It may be mentioned that RSS and the National Medicos Organization (NMO) have conducted above
50 free medical camps in different relief camps across the state during the last four months.
Functionaries of the organization, led by Laishram Jatra Singh, State Executive Member of RSS
Manipur Pranta also interacted with the people in the relief camp, whose houses were burnt down
during the ongoing ethnic strife in the state.
During the interaction students and parents highlighted the problems being faced on a daily basis
like quality of living, livelihood, education for children, mental and physical health.
