Wayanad, Kerala. CBI has filed an FIR in connection with the death of Siddharth, a second-year student of Pookode Veterinary University, Wayanad. The CBI filed the FIR in court within three days of taking over the investigation of the case. A total of 21 accused are involved in the case according to the CBI.
At present, the accused have not been charged with murder. The CBI stated that after conducting further investigation into the incident, more sections of charges will be added based on the evidence.
It has been indicated that the CBI team will visit the college as part of information gathering. Additionally, the National Human Rights Commission will also conduct a five-day investigation at the college. The CBI has also requested Siddharth’s father to appear and provide information regarding the incident. Jayaprakash, Siddharth’s father, had stated that any evidence not found by the police would be handed over to the CBI. The case is being investigated by CBI Delhi Special Unit 2.
