Text book shops to open in Assam
Guwahati: The government of Assam has decided to allow text book shops to open.
The State Level Empowered Committee of Assam government, formed to handle Covid-19, in a meeting held on thursday decided to allow the text book shops to open their shops from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m in the weekdays during the lockdown period.
The Chief Secretary of Assam issued a notification in this context. The notification stated – “The Committee also decided that text book shops shall be allowed to remain open from 10-00 AM to 05-00 PM Monday through Saturday”.
On the other hand, the State Level Empowered Committee appointed G.P Singh, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) as the Nodal Officer for inter-state transportation of stranded Assamese into Assam. ADGP (Security) Harmeet Singh is going to be the alternate Nodal Officer.
