Guwahati: Three persons were arrested by the Hatigaon Police for allegedly gang-raping a woman on Wednesday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Naimuddin Ali, Mukul Islam and Ashraful Amin.
According to police, a 37 year old allegedly gang raped in a house located at Neelkamal Path in Hatigaon on Wednesday. The victim lodged a complaint with city police on Thursday.
A police official said, “The victim who had joined a private call centre company on April 18, was invited by Ashraful Amin, Mukul Islam and Nayan Muddin Ali for lunch on Wednesday after which they allegedly raped her. We have arrested the owner of the company Rafique Ali too in connection to the case.”
Police sources further added that the victim was known to the Rafique Ali from before when she was working at a parlour here. Investigation was ongoing.
