Why it is so casual and acceptable if some intellectual under the name of secularism easily targets Hindu and Hindu gods? In the latest instance, a professor from Symbiosis College named Ashok Dhole, purportedly passed remarks against the Hindu gods while delivering a lecture against Hindu gods.
As per the reports, he insulted ‘Bhagwan Ram and Devi Sita’. The news has sparked a controversy on social media. This comes to light after students raised complaints against Professor Dhole for allegedly delivering lectures against Hinduism. Students have recorded the lecture and submitted it to the administration as the sentiments of the students were hurt.

Following the complaints, the college administration promised action however, students claim that the administration, i.e. Symbiosis did not take any action. When the concerned students complained to the MNS and some Hindutva organizations, there was an uproar in the college.
Following the controversy, the Principal Hrishikesh Soman addressed the issue, stating that the controversial statement made by Professor Ashok Dhole within the premises of Symbiosis College does not align with the college’s values and principles. Consequently, the college has taken the step of suspending him from his duties. An inquiry committee has also been appointed to investigate the matter thoroughly. Further action will be taken based on the committee’s findings.
